Last Friday, there was an exciting event in my calendar; it was the Aesthetics Conference and Exhibition 2016. The Aesthetics Conference and Exhibition is a leading event bringing together cosmetic doctors, cosmetic surgeons, dermatologists, dentists, GP’s, aesthetics nurses and private clinics from all around the UK to the Business Design Centre in London, giving you the opportunity to mingle with over 100 top providers of medial aesthetic treatments and services.
Over the two days there were various live demos and masterclasses, expert discussions surrounding various topics and interesting exhibitions. On the first day, I had the pleasure of meeting several brands and learning numerous new techniques. They had live demonstrations concentrating on jawline and chin rejuvenation and the tear trough technique. There were also various presentations from leading practitioners and teachers regarding lower facial contouring, surgical vs non-surgical options for the face and more.
The masterclass’s opened my eyes to so many techniques that I didn’t previously have a lot of knowledge about of from forehead treatments to vaginal rejuvenation. But look out boys, there’s some new treatments in town! Introducing male face rejuvenation and male face contouring. Intraline’s masterclass led by Dr Vincent Wong gave me an insight into amount of the men seeking aesthetic procedures in the modern day and how these procedures are different to women. With contouring becoming increasingly popular in the last few years for females, it’s now the men’s turn. There has been a significant growth in facial contouring as more individuals have succumbed to their desire to preserve their youthful appearance.
It was a pleasure to meet so many amazing brands offering innovative and exciting products and ideas. It was great to mingle with the best of the best in the industry including 5 Squirrels, Galderma and Intraline who are going to be taking me through thread lift training in the near future. Intraline have also got a new and exciting filler on the market; Dermal Fillers. Dermal Fillers are soft, injectable substances that come in the form of liquid or gel and aim to improve visible signs of ageing or used to repair facial imperfections. They are achieving great results so far!
The Aesthetics Conference and Exhibition was thoroughly an exciting and educational day, with invaluable information and knowledge gained through masterclasses and live demos, ACE 2016 was nothing short of a success. A great conference and great day, thank you to everyone who made it what it was! Bring on ACE2017.
